Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap - Floating Village & Countryside Sunset

    Upon arrival at Siem Reap Angkor International airport, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in and relaxation. Siem Reap blends French-colonial charm, traditionally Cambodian architecture, and vibrant markets-serving as the perfect base to explore the ancient Angkor civilization. 

    Late this afternoon, travel to Kampong Phluk, one of the most authentic floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake. Embark on a scenic boat ride through wooden stilt-houses rising high above the waterline and glide into the flooded mangrove forest, home to macaques and local fishing communities. Observed daily life on the lake-children padding small boats, fishermen repairing nets, families selling goods from the floating shops. 

    On the return journey, enjoy a ox-cart ride through peaceful rice fields and rural villages. Depending on the season, you may witness goldens sunset views illuminating the rice paddies and countryside. 

    Note: Boat trips in Kampong Phluk are possible from June-Mar. During low water levels, Chong Kneas or Mechrey will be arranged as alternatives.

    Evening free to explore Siem Reap's night markets, boutiques shops, cafes, or local street food.

  • Day 2: Angkor Complex with Sunrise

    Begin early with an optional Sunrise at Angkor Wat. Watch the temple's silhouette emerge as the sun paints the sky in soft hues - a magical moment and a highlight of any visit. 

    Return to the hotel for breakfast, then begin your full-day exploration of the Angkor archaeological park including of Ancient South Gate of Angkor Thom, lined with statuses of gods and demons holding a giant naga serpent. Bayon Temple, the magnificent state temple of King Jayavarman VII, famous for its 216 serene faces and early 1.2km of intricate bas reliefs depicting daily life and historical events. Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King, detailed carvings and royal platforms used for ceremonies. Ta Prohm, the atmospheric temple where giant tree roots intertwine with ancient stone walls, creating an iconic "lost-in-the-jungle" appearance. Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang, the royal bathing pool. 

    In the afternoon, tour the legendary Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious structure and a masterpiece of Khmer architecture. Explore its galleries, bas-reliefs, courtyards, and more than 2000 apsara dancers carved into the walls.

    Finish the day with sunset at Phnom Bakheng, offering panoramic views over Angkor and the surrounding forest. Return to hotel.

  • Day 3: Siem Reap -Kbal Spean trek & Banteay Srei Temple

    After breakfast, drive through the countryside to the Kulen foothills for an excursion to Kbal Spean, known as the "River of a Thousand Lingas." Enjoy a 2km uphill trek through shaded forest trails, passing over giant boulders and natural formations until reaching ancient carvings submerged in the riverbed-lingas, yoni symbols, and Hindu gods representing prosperity and blessing. 

    Continue to Banteay Srei, the finely crafted pink sandstone temple considered the crown jewel of Khmer classical art. its miniature scale refined carvings, and preserved detail make it one of the most beloved temples in Cambodia.

    Along the way back to Siem Reap, stop at local communities to observe palm sugar production, seasonal fruits, handicrafts, or rural lifestyle scenes. 

    Optional: Sunset at Pre Rub temple, a red-brick mountain temple with gorgeous countryside views. 

    Return to the hotel for rest.

  • Day 4: Siem Reap - Full day Beng Mealea and Koh Ker Temple - Preah Vihea

    After breakfast, journey northeast into the countryside including of Beng Mealea Temple, mysterious, jungles-covered ruins with an Angkor Style layout. Continue to Koh Ker, the remote former Khmer Capital (928-944 AD), visit to Prasat Thom and the striking Prasat prang step-pyramid. Koh ker is still relatively untouched by mass tourism, offering a rate opportunity to explore Cambodia's forgotten city. 

    Then continue to Sra Aem near Preah Vihea through scenic countryside, rice fields, local farms and quiet villages. Check in to boutique hotel and relax by the pool for the evening.

  • Day 5: Preah Vihear to Kampong Thom

    After breakfast, travel to UNESCO listed Preah Vihear Temple, located atop the Dangrek Mountain range at the Cambodia-Thailand border. 

    Transfer to a local community-operated pickup truck for the steep ascent. Once at the summit, explore the grand processional paths, sanctuaries, gopuras, and breathtaking cliffside viewpoints overlooking endless jungle. The temple's unique linear design and dramatic location make it one of Cambodia's most unforgettable sites.

    Descend the mountain, return to the hotel for refreshment, then continue south toward Kampong Thom (approx. 4 - 4.5hrs ). Arrive in the late afternoon and check in at your hotel. evening at leisure.

  • Day 6: Kampong Thom to Kampong Cham

    This morning, visit Sambor Prei Kuk, a pre-Angkorian capital from the Chenla Kingdom (6th-7th century). Set in a peaceful forest, the site contains over 100 brick temples, many with octagonal towers, lotus-shaped motifs, and ancient stucco decorations. Enjoy walking paths through shaded woodland and learn about one of Southeast Asia's oldest temple complexes. 

    Later in the afternoon, continue to Kampong Cham (2 hrs drive), En route, stop at rural villages to observe seasonal activities such as cassava fields, tobacco drying barns, rubber plantations, vegetable farms, or rice harvesting (depending on the time of year).

    Before arriving in town, visit Wat Nokor Bachey, a fascinating blend of an 11th century sandstone temple integrated with a modern pagoda.

    Check in at your hotel and enjoy sunset by the Mekong River, with views of the historic French watchtower across the water.

  • Day 7: Kampong Cham to Phnom Penh

    After breakfast, visit to Kampong Cham Museum, showcasing artifacts from the Agnkorian and Chenla periods. Continue to Koh Paen Island, cross via the seasonal bamboo bridge (or concrete bridge during high water, and explore local life on this agricultural island. 

    Visit to Kouk Preah Theat Temple, pat of the Han Chey group, dating back to the 7th century and perched along the Mekong River with wide scenic views. 

    Continue driving to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

  • Day 8: Phnom Penh - Cyclo Tour experience

    Begin your day with a traditional cyclo ride, a charming and eco-friendly way to explore the city. Visit to Wat Phnom, the legendary birthplace of Phnom Pen. Continue to visit Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, home to Cambodia's royal family, with exquisite architecture and over 5000 silver tiles. Then visit Wat Phrea Keo Morakot, housing priceless Buddhas in gold, crystal and silver. 

    Afternoon, visit to the National Museum, designed in traditional Khmer style and home to the world's finest collection of Khmer sculpture, including masterpieces spanning over 1000 years.

    Enjoy a sunset cruise along the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers. Evening free to stroll along the riverside.

  • Day 9: Phnom Penh - Departure

    After breakfast, learn about Cambodia's recent history with visits to tow significant memorial sites including of Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), a former school transformed into a Khmer Rouqe interrogation center, now a powerful memorial. Then continue to Choeung Ek Killing Fields, a peaceful yet emotional site honoring the victims of the regime. 

    In afternoon, explore Phhnom penh's bustling markets, Central Market (Phars Thmey), a landmark art Deco building offering clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, and local snacks. 

    Transfer to Techo International Airport for your onward flight.
